FAQ

You ask, we answer

What is a data record?

A Data Record is a basic data structure that stores together properties of a particluar object. Put in simple terms, it is an item that is transferred from one system to another. One data record would, for example, represent one invoice in your online accounting system or one contact in your email automation tool.

How much is 100 data records?

100 data records is, basically, 100 items. Probably, the most common case you'll have on elastic.io Connect at the moment is moving your invoices around. So, 100 data records will be 100 invoices. But it can also be 100 invoice due dates or 100 customers' contact data (the latter will be exported as a bundle, meaning that 1 data record will include the customer's first and last names, his/her email address and any additional information assigned to this particular customer). Note, though, that each time you move an item from one system into another and also each update of this item will be considered as a new data records, even if it's one and the same item.

What is initial export?

Initial export is the export of all your existing data your have stored prior to activating an integration app on elastic.io Connect. Say, you already have about 2000 invoices in your Debitoor account, but you write only 110-130 new invoices each month. Your 2000 invoices in this example will be the initial export we'll perform.

Do I have to pay for the initial export of my data if it exceeds the price plan I chose?

No. The initial export is included into each price plan by default. Therefore, we won't charge your for it extra, even if it exceeds the data records limit outlined in the pricing plan you've subscribed to.

What happens if I exceed my monthly data records limit?

If you consume more data records as your current plan allows you to, don't worry, we will not block your integration apps. First, we'll inform you about the limit excess. After that we will automatically upgrade you to the next pricing plan. We will make sure such upgrade is only done with your awareness and won't be a surprise for you.

What methods of payment does elastic.io Connect accept?

Currently, we support only credit card payments. We might add other payment methods in the future, though.
